Targeted MLM Leads - Your Key Ingredient For MLM Success

In the network marketing world targeted mlm leads are the heart and soul of any marketing strategy. Generating targeted leads should be the very first step in the marketing process, at least if you are looking to succeed. With these leads you are not wasting valuable resources on people that are not even prospects. You want to spend your efforts on leads that are already open to what you are promoting. It would be useless to keep contacting the owner of a restaurant about your mortgage company. Having targeted leads is the most important step in your plan for success.

Many companies will supply lists of targeted mlm leads for you. They have spent time and effort on compiling these lists and they can be useful if you have the right personality for calling cold leads. As said before, the enthusiasm needs to be fresh and at a high level. If you wait too long, you are guaranteed failure. In a nutshell, your responses will need to be in real time. Where you get your responses immediately, and can then respond back in a timely manner.

One popular avenue for targeted mlm leads, but NOT the most effective, is to purchase leads from someone who has taken the time to gather them. You will need to verify that the leads are fresh, and relevant to your needs. Also research the company supplying the leads, make sure they are reliable. You do not want to put up your hard earned money for stale leads that will gain your business nothing but a headache. So, now you are ready to make money, do your research, target the right people, and get ready to reap the rewards of a job well done.

However, purchasing MLM Leads should be a last resort strategy because they are usually very expensive, they are cold leads, they don't know you, and you never know how many times they've been sold to someone else.  The best strategy is to learn how to generate your own free mlm leads.

How To Get Free MLM Leads Using Facebook Part 2

If you just found this post you might wanna start by reading the first part of How To Get Free MLM Leads Using Facebook where I explain in detail how to setup your Facebook account and how to add friends.

Okay, so by now you should have your Facebook profile customized and if you followed the recommendation of adding 30 friends per day, you should have a reasonable number of friends already.

Once you have over say 300 friends you should definitely start your own group.  Having your own Facebook group is very powerful because it establishes you as a leader and after people join your group you will have the ability to  contact your members through the Facebook email system over and over again.  Your group is basically your list of highly targeted leads that went from cold prospects to very warm prospects because they now know you, like you, and trust you.

What topic should your Facebook group be about?  Ideally it should be related to MLM Network Marketing since most of your friends are involved in MLM and if you offer something of value they will happily join your group.  For example, if you have expertise in a particular marketing strategy then you can make it about that marketing strategy and how it can help your members build their businesses on the internet.

To create a Facebook group just log into your account and go to the groups page by searching for groups:

You will the arrive at this page:

Now just fill out the form with pertinent information for your Facebook group and click "Create Group":

And so forth...just follow the step by step instructions from Facebook and your group will be ready to go in no time.  Once it is created, you can start inviting your friends to join the group.  As you make new friends you should also invite them to join your group.  This is how you build a large group of MLM prospects with Facebook.  It is relatively easy to build a large group if you consistently make new friends and invite them to join your group.

Facebook is the most effective free marketing strategy you can use to build your MLM business on the internet.  If you dedicate an hour a day to this strategy you will become an expert in generating free mlm leads on Facebook.

How To Get Free MLM Leads Using Facebook

In the last post I covered the importance of having an MLM Lead Generation system and today I'm going to explain how to get free mlm leads using Facebook.

Facebook is currently #2 in Alexa's Top 500 sites on the web just behind behemoth Mr G Google.  Before you can do anything with Facebook you will need to create an account.  Don't sweat it...opening an account with Facebook is free and very easy to do.  Frankly, you would be crazy not getting an account and starting to build relationships with people that could turn out to be great leads for your MLM business.

To open an account visit http://facebook.com/gotomichel and click the green button that says "Sign Up".  You can click all the images that follow to enlarge the images...

On the next screen just enter your information and again click the green button.

The next screen will ask you to enter a captcha code.  Make sure to enter the code exactly as shown then click the green Sign Up button.

At this point Facebook will send you an email (at the email address you specified) containing a link that you will need to click to confirm that it is really you that created the account.

Okay, if you clicked the link to Facebook I gave you above you will see that Facebook presents you with my picture and suggests to add me as a friend.  Go ahead and click the blue button Add Friend.  Smart move!  We're now friends on facebook.. :-)

Now you need to complete the next steps ( you have the option of skiping the steps and do them later) that will allow you to find friends, complete your profile information and add a profile picture.

It is highly recommended that you complete all the steps to make your facebook profile as complete as possible.  And please add a picture of yourself, not a cartoon or any other weird picture.

Remember, you are trying to brand yourself and establish trust to eventually build relationships with other facebook users that are potential MLM leads for you.  If you don't put your picture and your real name on your profile you will not be able to establish trust with anybody which means no friends, no leads, no mlm business success.

Congratulations, you now have a facebook account with a complete profile!

At this point you are ready for the daily routine of inviting people to become your friend.  Facebook has a strict policy in regards to inviting friends, they don't want people to spam en masse so DO NOT invite more than 30 people a day to become your friends or you risk losing your account.

Daily routine, daily routine, daily routine...got that?  It is VERY important that you make a habit of spending 30 minutes a day to invite 30 people to become your friends or every other day or whatever is good for you.  But once you decide what your routine is going to be, STICK TO IT and don't ever quit.

So here's what you need to do daily to start getting those MLM leads coming to you:

Step 1 - Login to your facebook account

Just enter your email, password and click login.

Step 2 - Type "groups" in the search bar located on the top right corner and press enter or click the magnifying glass

You are presented with the groups page and you will see another search box where it says search for Groups.

Step 3 - Search for an MLM company

Here is where it gets interesting.  You are now going to type the name of an MLM company in the search box shown above and you will be presented with all the groups in facebook that are about that particular MLM company.

As an example, let's type "quixtar" in the search box and hit enter.

At the time of this writing, the search returns 276 groups that deals with the Quixtar MLM Company.  Here's an image of the first 3 groups returned.  You can see the first group has 279 members, the second has 144 members, and the third has 60 members.

So that's 483 potential MLM leads for you.  Why do I say MLM leads?  Because they are members of groups that have to do with Quixtar which is of course an MLM company.  What are the odds of these people being a Quixtar distributor?  I'd say the odds are almost 100%.  This is just ONE company and there are thousands that you can do a search on.

Can you begin to see how powerful this is?  Are you excited yet?  You cannot find more targeted leads than this.

It goes without saying that to make this work you must have an MLM lead generation system in place because the last thing you want to do now is approach these people with your own company.  Don't even tell them about your lead generation system when you make the first contact.  That's a big no no...The first contact is just to introduce yourself and invite them to be your friend...That's it!

Step 4 - Invite group members to be your friend


So let's invite them to be your friend.  The number of members shown in the last picture is clickable and when you click it a window opens up showing you all the members of the group.  You can also see who the Admins of the group are by clicking the Admins link.

You will see that those that are not your friend yet will have a button by their name that says "Add as friend".  Those that are already your friend will not have the button.  So it's easy to see which ones you need to invite.

When you click the "Add as friend" button a new window opens and you need to click the "Add personel message..." link to write a short message to the person you are inviting.  This is way more powerful than just inviting without a personal message.  You will get way more positive responses this way.  It takes a little more effort but it's worth it.  Once your message is typed just click Send request and you're done with this person.

The screen will come back to the list of members and all you have to do is invite the next person in the list.  And that's it...you do this same precess for 30 members a day and in no time you will have a huge list of friends that you can then contact to offer them help with their business or just connect at a personal level.  That's how you make people to know you, like you, and trust you...3 essential components to get the best free and fresh MLM leads into your MLM lead generation system.

MLM Lead Generation Basics

Let’s forget about MLM Lead Generation for a moment.  Let's start from the beginning.  Let's suppose you just joined the greatest MLM Company ever created, with the greatest products ever, and the most lucrative, patented, copyrighted pay plan.

They give you access to a bunch of flashy websites about the company and its products.  You attend motivational calls every week and you are really pumped up.

After a few weeks of annoying your friends, family and co-workers with your MLM deal, with nothing to show for, you decide to jump on the Internet and start your online lead generation adventure.

Yeah baby…you need leads and you’re going to get them online by the truckloads.  After all, thousands of people are making so much money on the Internet.  It’s time for you to claim your fair share.

So you put your MLM Company’s flashy websites in as many Social Networking sites as possible, you send emails to your new friends on those sites with a link to your company’s site and tell them about how the products can help them grow hair, lose weight, or live to 100.

After a while you realize that nobody gives a hoot about you and especially about the greatest MLM ever created that you are pitching.

Now we also know that 98% of all network marketers out there is eventually going to fail at MLM and some sooner than others.  In fact, most of them are going to fail at several different MLM companies.

Why You Need an MLM Lead Generation System

When an MLM distributor is really happy with his or her recently joined network marketing company, they think they have the world’s greatest company.  After all, it was their choice, they chose that MLM company, they think it has great products, a great compensation plan, great people to work with…that’s kind of the situation we were describing above…your situation.

Okay.  So you’re thinking you’ve got the best, everybody you’re marketing to think they’ve got the best MLM company…can you see that it’s not looking real good for you?

As you know most of these network marketers are going to fail because they’re advertising to people who have no interest in their company at all.  And as they’re going along towards this failure, they’re going to reach a point when they say: “Hey I love my company, I need help!”

So you need to have an MLM lead generation system that offers help to these people at that precise point in their MLM experience.

They tried everything their upline is telling them, nothing is working so they need help and you offer them help through your lead generation system.  And of course, they will jump on your offer.

So your MLM lead generation system allows you to talk to people and to start building a relationship with them right now, long before anybody else out there gets a chance to talk to them.  And this is because the person is not looking for a business, but for help.

We also know that bad things happen all the time in the MLM industry.  Companies go out of business, distributors quit, and compensation plans are changed to the detriment of distributors, just to name a few.  If the person you’ve been building a relationship with experiences any of these problems, they will be looking for a new company.  And who do you think they will call first to ask him/her: “Tell me what are you doing?”  :-)
